According to RIFST's public relations, during Iran-Iraq Science Week, 10 MoUs were signed, with the aim of active participation of professors and researchers in the field of food science and technology and in order to develop scientific relations, between the Research Institute of Food Science and Technology (RIFST) and Iraqi Universities of Baghdad, Karbala, Mosul, Tikrit, Diyali, Kufa, Basra, Technology and Al- Ayen.

These MoUs were signed in the presence of Dr. Haddadi Asl, the Deputy Minister of Science in international affairs, also the head of the International Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, and Dr. Haider Abd Zahad, the Scientific Deputy of the Iraqi Ministry of Science, by Prof. Seyed Mohammad Ali Razavi, the President of the Research Institute of Science and Food Technology, and the Presidents of the mentioned universities.

Dr. Ghorani, RIFST's Director of International Scientific cooperation office, said “Through the documents, RIFST and the Iraqi Universities exchange professors to teach educational courses, create opportunities for students interested in continuing their studies, implement joint research projects, hold conferences and joint scientific courses, publish joint scientific papers between the professors and form joint scientific and research networks.”
