1. RIFST achieves SCImago's ranking

According to SCImago's latest issue published in January 2025, RIFST has achieved 1612th world ranking, 33rd in the Middle East, and 6th in Iran in its first year of entering this international ranking system.

"The Research Institute of Food Science and Technology has managed to secure the 20th  position among the 71 leading universities and research institutes in the country that are active in the field of food science and technology," stated Dr. Bahareh Emadzadeh, Director of RIFST's Library and Centre for Documents. "In addition, evaluations indicate that our Institute ranks 77th  and 1540th  among all major universities and institutions in the Middle East and the world in the field of food science, respectively," Dr. Emadzadeh added.

She also noted: "In the subject ranking, the Research Institute of Food Science and Technology has been able to rank 2nd among the top 16 institutions in the country and 17th among the top 64 institutions in the Middle East in the subjects of “Agriculture and Life Sciences” and “Chemistry ", respectively."

“This achievement represents the ongoing dedication of the Research Institute of Food Science and Technology to enhance the quality of research and innovation within food science and its associated fields.”
