By the decree of Dr. Mohammad Ali Zulfi Gol, Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Dr. Seyed Mohammad Ali Razavi was appointed as the President of the Research Institute of Food Science and Technology (RIFST).
The decree addressing Seyed Mohammad Ali Razavi, states: In view of the level of your commitment, expertise and valuable experience and with regard to the proposal of the Research Deputy of the Ministry, you are appointed to the position of "President of the Research Institute of Food Sciences and Technology". It is expected that by following Islamic teachings, scientific principles, revolutionary spirit and attracting the cooperation of professors, directors, scientific assistants (staff) and expert capacity of that institute, you will play a worthy role in realizing the goals of the science and technology system.
Dr. Seyed Mohammad Ali Razavi is currently a professor of food engineering and physics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Faculty of Agriculture. He has a bachelor's degree in food science and engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, a master's degree in food engineering from Tehran University, and a doctorate in food engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
Among his scientific and executive records are the management of the scientific hub of natural hydrocolloids native to Iran, the head of specialized laboratory services of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, a member of the commission of the science and food industry working group of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the representative of Khorasan Razavi academic staff recruitment committee, the editor of the Iranian Food Science and Technology Research journal, editor of journal of Nuts magazine, member of the editorial board of several domestic and international scientific-research journals, vice president of education and student affairs at Neishabor University and director of the department of food science and industry at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
According to Thomson-Reuters database (ISI), from 2015 to 2021, Dr. Razavi was included in the list of one percent of the world's top scientists and scientific elites for five periods, and also won the title of the country's top researcher in the agriculture and natural resources group in 1995, the top researcher of Khorasan Razavi in 2016, the top researcher of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2016 and the best author of this university in 2016 are among his other research honors.
It should be mentioned that Dr. Mohammad Ali Razavi has 350 scientific-research papers (JCR, ISI, ISC) of which 123 have been published in Q1 journals. Also, he has presented scientific papers in 95 internal and external conferences and carried out 41 internal and external research projects in his scientific and research resume.
In a separate letter, the Minister of Science, Research and Technology also appreciated the services of Dr. Ghadir Rajabzadeh, the former President of RIFST.
