The first meeting of the scientific committee of the national conference of applied research on food security, food safety and health was held in Mashhad.

This meeting, consisting of the presence of 15 members of the scientific committee from RIFST, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization, Shahid Beheshti University and Iranian Probiotics and Functional Foods Association and industry representatives, focused on examining the main and secondary topics, determining the speakers Key and how to review the articles.

Prof. Seyed Mohammad Ali Razavi, the President of the Research Institute of Food Science and Technology, while appreciating the presence of the members of the scientific committee, said in this meeting: "According to the defined headings and main topics that are foreseen in this conference, we will be able to examine the challenges of food security at the macro and micro level in the country and take effective steps to ensure the long-term stability of the country's food security."

RIFST's President pointed out strategies for conducting future studies in this field and said: Considering the importance and priority of the food security issue in the governance of the country, it seems that in this field elite academic colleagues should enter and discuss the issue while they consider it as one of the most fundamental research priorities.
