The President of the Research Institute of Food Sciences and Technology announced: Based on the latest ranking of universities and research institutes of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology conducted by Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), the Research Institute of Food Sciences and Technology (RIFST) has been ranked the second with indicators being "technology and innovation" and "internationalization" among the country's research institutes.
Prof. Seyed Mohammad Ali Razavi" announced this news and added: "In this year's ranking, based on the evaluation of 52 active research institutes in the country, RIFST is among the top ten of these institutes and has been ranked 9th and 7th in the overall monitoring (all research institutions) and specialized departments respectively.
Referring to the specialized ranking of RIFST in the technical and engineering group, he counted the first rank for internationalization among 23 research centers under this group as one of the achievements of the Institute. It is worth mentioning that since 2008, ISC has been operating as an internationally recognized center to measure the scientific and research activities of Islamic countries, using advanced technologies in accordance with global standards in order to help improve the scientific level of these countries and based on that, universities and research institutes of Islamic countries are obliged to cooperate with this center.
Indexing the authoritative publications of these countries in all subject areas and in different languages, in order to create a scientific network in the Islamic world, has been one of the most important activities of this institution since its establishment until now, and currently all Islamic countries have the possibility of using ISC services.
