The 9th Asia-Pacific Probiotics Symposium was held on December 20, 2022 by the Asia-Pacific Institute of Food Professionals (APIFP), in collaboration with the Australian International Food Safety and Security Academy and the International Scientific Cooperation Group of the Research Institute of Food Science and Technology (RIFST), with the participation of students and food industry experts from Iran, Australia, New Zealand and several Asian countries.

The 9th Asia-Pacific Probiotics Symposium was virtually organized and held by the Asia-Pacific Institute of Food Professionals (APIFP) on December 20, 2022, in collaboration with the International Australian Food Safety and Security Academy, Jinan University- China, Chulalongkorn University- Thailand and the Research Institute of Food Science and Technology (RIFST) with the participation of students and food industry experts from Iran, Australia, New Zealand and several Asian countries.   

In this one-day symposium,  seven speakers from universities and scientific centers of Australia, China, the Philippines, Malaysia, Iran and Thailand presented their latest scientific achievements regarding probiotics, focusing on emerging trends in the science of probiotics, innovative probiotic products, probiotics for healthy living and the opportunities and challenges in the global probiotics industry.

Also, a number of students and other researchers presented the results of their research in the form of posters to the participants.
