According to the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), a member of the academic staff of the Research Institute of Food Science and Technology (RIFST) was ranked among the two percent most cited researchers in the world (Scopus-Stanford).

According to RIFST's public relations report, "Dr. Asma Vardian", a member of the Department of Food Safety and Quality Control, has been included in the list of two percent of the most cited researchers in the field of chemistry along with 1941 Iranian researchers.

The latest update of the "Stanford University List" database published in November 2022 covers the data from 1960 to 2021.

The list includes the most cited authors based on the composite citation index and is among the two percent most cited in 22 main subject areas and 174 sub-areas.

In the latest version of this database, with the citations calculated in 2021, there are 1942 researchers with the main organizational affiliation of the Islamic Republic of Iran out of the total number of 200196 international researchers.

It is worth mentioning that, based on the published documents, Dr. Asma Vardian, a member of the academic staff of RIFST, has been included in this list with 192 citations.
