According to Scopus list of citation database, published in October 2023 in collaboration with Elsevier Institute, Dr. Asma Verdian, a member of RIFST's Department of Food Safety and Quality Control, was included in the list of world top two percent of researchers in 2022 for the second year in a row.
According to the ranking published in Elsevier scientific database in October 2023, 2141 Iranian scientists were among the world's top scientists in 22 scientific disciplines and 176 sub-disciplines from all universities in the world. The number of citations to researchers' scientific productions, the number of citations without self-citations, and the h-index of researchers were some of the evaluation criteria of 2% scientists.
