The department of food quality control and safety

 The department intends to assure healthiness of the food products as well as reducing the risks and pollutants threatening consumers. To reach these goals the department is commissioned to  design  and update the mechanisms involved in food quality control and wholesomeness as well as developing approaches for immediate detection  also codifying and editing patterns and standards in food quality.

The department intends to reach the following  goals  :
• To improve food safety and security of the society applying methods and technologies to detect pollutants immediately  in accordance with passive defenses and overall health policies of Iran
• To design and develop novel  patterns to control and monitor the quality of the food products with the intention to improve the healthiness and wholesomeness of the food products
• To control and detect  food hazards in the products and develop strategies to prevent food hazards and contaminants  
• To design and develop sensors capable of detecting food pollutants immediately
• To improve  methods for  food  quality control in food products according to international standards
• To improve and update the systems managing  food quality control and hazard detection  as well as implementing  the systems in the product line and processing of the food products
• To optimize the process of producing, storing and formulizing  food products intending to improve the sustainability  and immunity of food products
• To conduct research projects concerning Halal food products
• To conduct research projects concerning transgenic food products
