RIFST Researchers Win TWAS Prize

The Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) has allocated a prize of   $12000 for a project presented by 2 academic members of RIFST. According to the public relations of RIFST Dr. Behrouz Ghorani and Dr. Bahareh Emadzadeh have been awarded the prize for a research project entitled “The Production of Electrospun Nano–Sensors for Monitoring the Temperature History of Food Products”. 

TWAS, the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, www.twas.org, is an autonomous international organization founded in Trieste, Italy in 1983. The TWAS Joint Research Grants Program is established in response to the needs of promising young researchers in OIC countries. The specific aims of the program are to encourage the pursuit of scientific excellence in OIC countries by identifying and supporting the best young scientists in these countries; to reinforce and promote scientific research; to strengthen the capacity in science and technology and to counteract the brain drain of scientific talent from the OIC countries.
